In spite of the fact that spoken languages may share widespread and universal features, each has its unique linguistic system. In other words, every language has its own semantics, grammar, morphology, phonetics, phonology and syntax. In this section, two of the most spoken languages of the world, namely English and Arabic, are going to be described generally and then compared considering their sound systems in particular.
