The view of adult learning has become accepted and proven nowadays. In order to improve/maintain the labor market situation, many people decide to study and choose higher education courses. Those working in the assistive professions also have more training available if they want to develop in their profession further. This decision requires, among other things, sufficient self-awareness, a suitable career identity, and a commitment to the profession. In the present research, we examined the career orientation ideas of the MA students in the mental health community and relationship building at Pannon University during the year 2022. In the research, we were interested in, among other things, how the students enrolled in a program involving the assistive professions, what expectations they have of the training in their chosen profession, and what purpose they study for.
