In this chapter, the methodological background of the longitudinal study described in this volume is detailed. First, the participants of the study are introduced, followed by the procedure and the materials used. Then the problem triggers of the SL texts are presented, followed by an overview of the topic, research question and presuppositions of each empirical chapter.
