Chapter nine details how interpreter trainees cope with problem triggers in the SL texts as they progress in their training. First, an introduction is provided about problem triggers and strategies used in interpreting to deal with problem triggers. Next, the methodology of the investigation is presented. Then, the analysis of strategies used by the trainee interpreters participating in the longitudinal study is given. The chapter closes with a summary of the results.
