The aim of this chapter is to illustrate how evidence from students’ retrospective comments mirrors the development of interpreting competence. First, the use of retrospection is summarized in interpreting, followed by the description of the methodology used. Next, the retrospective comments gathered from the interpreter trainees at the end of semesters two, three and four analysed. The chapter closes with a section discussing and summarizing the results.
