The semi-structured group interview schedule was organised according to the six ICC components: attitudes, knowledge and understanding, skills of discovery and interaction, skills of interpreting and relating, action, and critical cultural awareness/political education. The questions were designed to explore students’ opinions, behaviours, and reflections within each of these categories. Examples include questions on empathy, curiosity, openness to other cultures, the importance of obtaining cultural knowledge, and how students might act against discrimination or defend human rights. A demographic question was also included to determine how long students had been exposed to a multicultural context. (See Appendix H.)
