The aim of this study was to identify which elements of CDA and ICC were demonstrated by the students in response to teaching activities aimed at developing those competencies. A qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive research design was adopted, which allowed for an emergent approach in line with recommendations by De Costa et al. (2019) and McDonough and McDonough (1997). A semi-structured group interview schedule was developed to gather detailed and authentic insights into students’ views. The research addressed the following question:
